Mauren Piucco

Adjunct Faculty

Mauren Piucco is a finance and administration leader with over 20 years of experience spanning higher education, healthcare, non-profits, private industry, and hospitality. He currently serves as Director of Finance at the University of Florida’s College of Health and Human Performance, where he oversees strategic budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure fiscal responsibility and operational excellence.

Previously, Mauren served as Assistant Director at the UF Diabetes Institute, where he directed administrative operations and HR, and supported a research community of more than 300 members across 27 departments. His leadership contributed to a 48% increase in indirect cost recovery and significant growth in donor engagement and external fundraising.

In addition, he brings over 10 years of experience in hospitality services within the hotel industry and is a co-owner of a restaurant, further strengthening his expertise in operations management, financial performance, and business development within the hospitality sector.

With strong competencies in strategic planning, compliance, business administration, and organizational leadership, Mauren has a proven track record of building systems, processes, and teams that drive growth and sustainability. He is fluent in English and Portuguese, with additional proficiency in Spanish and Italian.
