Students in the online MS in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management program are never required to come to campus but are welcome to attend the graduation ceremony in person. This program is 100% online and asynchronous, meaning classes can be completed on your schedule.
Students of the online MS in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management program can choose between a practicum in a professional setting or a professional paper. See the Curriculum page for details.
With our current course offerings, students of the online MS in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management program can choose to enroll as a full-time student taking nine credits per term or as part-time students taking less than nine credits per term. View the Curriculum page for details.
While the University of Florida does not currently award credit for past life or work experience, students can transfer up to nine graduate credits from a regionally accredited university with an advisor’s approval. Though courses in the program are primarily asynchronous, faculty and students may decide to work together synchronously and may be required to log in to Zoom video calls on occasion.
Students can expect to hear back from faculty within 24 hours unless otherwise indicated.
The University gladly welcomes international students to the online MS in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management program. In addition to the standard admissions requirements, international applicants are required to submit TOEFL scores. International applicants should carefully review the International Students page.
